Over the years it has stopped working and i have simply disconnected taken out old one and put in a new one same type eg. My bathroom extractor fan hasn t had a cord on it for a while since it fell off so i am going to replace it. Hi diyer here also 1st post gulp 8 i ve lived in my house for 30 years we have always had a 100mm pull cord type extractor fan in the bathroom. Typically this may be the case if you have lived in a house a while before cleaning your bathroom extractor fan. I didn t pay any attention because i rarely used it. Now i ve started sharing my flat and would very much like it to work.
Hundreds of stores nationwide. Unlike other fan installations it does not need a permanent live connection. I ve lived in this flat for 7 years it had been newly refurbished when i moved in. However recently it hasn t been working when i pull the light on no fan.
Its connected to the light pull cord so switches on off with the light. Well i then thought the unit must have broken so i went to screwfix and bought replacement fitted it and it still doesn t work. I have just installed an extractor fan in the bathroom and am now trying to connect it to come on with the light switch. 30 day money back guarantee.
I am having problems connecting it to the pull cord sitch. After 3 years the seldom used bathroom extractor fan stopped working. Remove the cover and use a flashlight to examine the fan blades for dust and debris. I have taken the cover off and marked in the image below where i think it goes.
We have a bathroom extractor fan and light on the same pull chord switch when the light stopped working i thought it was the bulb blown. It can also be adapted for separate switching if required. It must also be possible to isolate the fan by means of a pull switch inside the bathroom or a fan isolation 3 pole switch outside of the bathroom. I checked to see if all the wires were secure in the fan they were.
There was a cap over this which i haven t included in the photo.
